(Apple TV on MacBook) 48 hour limit on dowloaded show from streaming service?

Today I was downloading some episodes of a show on Apple TV on my Mac, from a streaming service so I could watch them offline while traveling however when I tested to see if the first episode worked, it started a 48 hour timer like the one which appears when you start a rented movie. These episodes shouldn't be rented though as I have the streaming service which they are from. will they disappear after 48 hours from my saved and have to be re-downloaded again?
