It seems i have a purple-ish filter on my front camera. It doesn't go away even after a restart, and I dont have a system updated pending. I havent dropped my phone, or anything of that sort

Arjun_mani,

In this situation there are two possibilities, software or hardware. Hoping this is a software issue, powering off and powering on might work. You can also try updating your phone when one is available. If this doesn’t work, you might just have to go to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized repair store to help you with the situation.

Hope this helps 🙂

Are the photos only looking purple on the iPhone, or also, when you transfer them to a different device, for example to a computer?

Th purple touch looks like the green channel is missing, it could be a problem with the display. There is only a thin line of green across the sample picture you posted.

It would be good to find out, if the camera failed to record the green channel and it is missing from the image file, or if the display does no longer display the green channel.
