When I try to download a app it ask for my card

Apple Pay has nothing to do with your Apple ID account; Apple Pay is for you to pay other businesses.

If it is not letting you download apps either you have downloads blocked in Settings/Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions, or there is a problem with the specific payment method you have in your Apple ID account.

What is the exact wording of the message you see when you try to download apps?

You must have a valid payment method in your account to use the App Store, even for free content.

I’m having the same issue I have a valid card with money on. It also have money on my Apple Pay and Apple card and it still will not let me download any apps.
