How to download photos from Iphone 11 to PC when the USB cord provided by Apple does not
match up with the connections. The connections are way too small and shorts out the PC.
I purchased a usb cord from amazon but the smaller end does not fit the iphone11 either.

Perhaps you got the wrong cable? Until recently, most computers had a USB-A connector, like the one on the left in this picture:
But the newest connection is called USB-c, shown on the right. You can buy a cable with either connector.
You can also get an adapter that will fit your c cable into an A slot, like this:
Your best bet is probably to go back to the place you bought the cable and ask to exchange it for a cable for USB-A.

There two common Apple cables for iPhone 11 are USB-C to Lightning, and USB-A to Lightning.
Apple usually ships a USB-C with their products, as it’s the current USB connector, and it can fast-charge.
You probably need a Lightning cable with the older USB-A connector for your Windows PC.
