I synced my old iPhone 11 with over 7,000 photos to my existing iCloud to save them on there but it synced my existing iCloud photos to the phone and deleted all 7,000+ photos now it says I have 4,300 photos on my phone and none are the ones I wanted to save!!! Any way to recover the original 7,000+ photos that were on the phone?

It never combined…just says I have 4,000+ pictures which were the ones in my iCloud, even went to iCloud.com and still same thing…never restored the previous pics that were on my phone just the new ones from iCloud. And now I have no backups showing I had 2 from September 4th and 11th but now it shows that there are none. Help please!! I’m missing the 7,000+ pics that were on my phone before syncing last night!!
Restore your old device from your backup.
When you sync using the same Apple ID anything on your device should upload and anything in the cloud will download to create one larger album.
So should I leave sync on when putting the old backup on my phone? I turned it off hoping to get the old photos back and not the new ones?
When you sync, it will sync everything both ways. Your new and old photos will combine into one library.
When you restore your old backup, your old photos should be put back onto the device.
The old photos were never put back on the phone…just my new ones…im missing 7,000+ photos from my old phone.
