The latest update to WatchOS 10.4 adds Settings/Accessibility/Minimum Brightness.

Turn this ON and the watch will no longer dim in dark areas.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 too dim in the dark. Does anyone know how to turn off the ambient light sensor so that my Apple Watch Ultra 2 stops auto dimming when it gets dark. I'm really struggling to see the screen at the max set brightness in dark conditions. Is this how it's supposed to be or just a bug in the current iOS that needs fixing?? Either way its ruining my experience of this product which is great in all areas except for this instance - find it really odd this hasn't been flagged in user testing at Apple before launch :(
