LOST LIBRARY - Final Cut Pro Crashed - Projects Now "fcepevent" Files

I was working on a number of projects within a library when Final Cut Pro crashed.

I reset my computer and when I went back on, I found that my library was COMPLETELY GONE.

It had been on an external hard drive, and now when I go on, it is nowhere to be found.

The projects are there, but they are now in their own individual folders, and then within each folder is just a file that says "CurrentVersion.fcpevent". This is the same for every project.

Please help...

Unfortunately the problem is because the drive is ExFAT formatted. It does not handle library bundles properly. The drives should only be APFS or macOS Extended. Hopefully you have a backup. You might try opening a data backup from the FCP Backups folder that’s normally in Movies. These backups contain no media so you will probably have to reconnect the files.
