macbook pro migration assistant library too large

I'm trying to use migration assistant to transition from old MacBook Pro with 250 GB storage to new MacBook Pro with 1 TB storage. Calculated storage on old MBP is over 1.2 TB and migration assistant won't complete. I checked on storage and Library is massive. I use OneDrive and DropBox, but I've removed those from the old MBP based on suggestions I read. Also, I removed all photos and videos, as well as all apps that I don't use anymore from the old MBP. New MBP still calculates total migration content as >1.2 TB and can't complete a successful migration. Looking for suggestions on how to overcome the incorrect storage calculation on the new MBP side of the migration so I can complete the process.
