Lost pics on messenger

Since last update my photos with different people on messenger in media have disappeared?? Anyone else experiencing this?

Media no longer available in Messenger app on iPhone As of yesterday afternoon I could no longer see any photos on my iPhone in messenger but i could see them on my ipad ….i updated the app and still can’t see them ….if i uninstall and reinstall the app will it result in me losing all previous messenger history and pics [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Messenger is a Meta app, contact them for help.
