Apple Watch 8 GPS incoming calls lower volume

Hello, I just got Apple Watch series 9 gps only . My question is what is triggering incoming calls to lower its volume on its own?? When someone calls it rings loud and when I raise my wrist or even when my watch is off and I raise to see the volume then lowers on its own . Any help or is it normal for the gps only version ? Thanks
