It’s been 10 months since the Nikon Z8 has been out and people have been waiting for an Apple Photos update so that it can open Z8 RAW files. Well the wait is over. It now shows up in the system profile as a supported format.
You are correct. But if you go to ”about this Mac “under the Apple menu and then click on System info, scroll down to software and click on RAW support, you will see an updated list after clicking on Nikon.
Not sure why the Apple website is not updated. Someone dropped the ball.

Indeed. Thank you for the good news. I am seeing it too now.
But is still not showing in Apple's lis of supported camera models: Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma – Apple Support (UK)
If you look at the discussion on Dpreview, some have support and some don't.
