WMV files won't play in safari on mac HELP!

I am trying to play a webcast which is in a WMV file and all my browser tells me when I open it is that there is a missing plug-in. Tried downloading Flip4Mac and that didn't seem to help unless I'm not doing it right! Can anyone help, please??! That would be so great! Thanks!

macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Not all WMV content can be played on a Mac even with the Flip4Mac codec. If you can post the URL to the webcast (if it's open to everyone), we can check it and see if any of us can get it play.

Did you install it?
Did you repair permissions and restarted your computer after the installation ~~if you actually installed F4M~~?
