Hello i bought a used mac book pro last year, it has been working fine untik i updated it to Sonoma OS, now its asking for a go daddy okta username and password which i dont have. And i cant get in contact with the person i bought it from

Do you mean that the Mac is Activation Locked, to an owner whose Apple ID is a "Go Daddy okra" e-mail address? If the Mac is Activation Locked, and you are not the owner, and you can't get the owner's help to unlock it, then the Mac is (and will remain) a "brick".
We cannot help you release Activation Lock, and Apple generally will not. They will only help remove it under very narrow circumstances which do not seem to apply in your case.
