Apple Pencil gen 2 randomly stops working

Hello,

out of the blue my pencil2 stopped working on my iPad Pro11.

It keeps connected and paired, it still indicates battery percentage, but no reaction on screen and double-tap does not function.

Tried update, Bluetooth on/off, forget device and repairing device (20+ times), refix tip, changed tip, restarted iPad. Battery iPad 100% and Pencil 100%. Decharged devices completely, and recharged afterwards.

All of a sudden it functioned again for half an hour… but then again is stopped functioning. Same symptomps and I tried the same actions as mentioned before.

Does anyone had the same problems? I have the Pencil for less then 3 months …

You appear to have already tried all the applicable troubleshooting steps. The Pencil may have fault.

If the Pencil has developed an internal fault, or has failed, the only remedy is to replace the Pencil. If the pencil is within its one-year warranty, you should look to having it replaced by your retailer or at an Apple Store.
