Play Back button on Apple Music does not work

It’s something that I’ve recently discovered, but the play back button in my Apple Music on my MacBook Air does not seem to work. It’s frustrated in case I want to go back to a song or listen to something again. I don’t know why it’s doing this, but I would like the situation rectified properly. Any and all advice is welcome.
