iPod nano sync with new MacBook M2 Chip

I recently upgraded to a new Macbook with an Apple M2 series chip. Now I can’t sync my ipod Nano o the apple music playlist because the playlist on Apple music no longer appears as a playlist once the Nano is connected. Here are the screenshots (from from Apple Music and then the iPod via Finder)

Can I sync an iPod Nano 7th Gen with Apple Music on a MacBook Air OS Monterey? My humble iPod shows up in the sidebar of the Apple Music app on my MacBook air, but when I click Sync Settings and choose either Entire Music Library or Selected Music, Albums, (etc), a diagonal striped progress bar at the bottom of the page moves to the right but never results in being able to click the Sync button on the bottom of the page to sync the iPod with my music library. Oh, and the iPod in the sidebar has a black circle next to it, not the little eject icon. Thanks.

ipod nano not showing playlists in Music app I just got a new MBP with Catalina and hooked up my ipod nano to it for the first time. Instead of showing the playlists that I have on the ipod in Music you have to click on the icon for the nano and when you do it just shows you all the music on the ipod without any playlists at all and completely out of order. What can I do to see the playlists on my Nano in Music? Is there a setting or something I'm missing? Thanks in advance for your help!

iPod playlists not showing up when connected to MUSIC I recently had to update to MUSIC to replace iTunes and now when I plug in my iPod it only shows up as a device. I’m unable to see my playlists on it or create new ones. The playlists are there and I can see them on my iPod when it’s disconnected from my Mac. Very frustrating and I’m hoping I don’t have to buy into Apple Music to fix something that should be free.
