text sound is not coming through to my I12 phone from only 1 contact. Get message but no "chime" alert

I'm on Consumer Cellular, wifi at home and when available at places away from home. I tested the "chiming" at home on cellular, then wifi, it does not matter, txt chime does not work on either from 1 contact. She is not 'blocked' in my contact , I tried a new text tone still does not work.

iPhone 14 not making sound for specific contact's texts when locked When my wife texts me my iPhone 14 doesn’t make a sound if it is locked. When unlocked (I’m using it) it does make her sound (Classic - Bloom) My phone otherwise makes all the sounds when I receive other texts or from other apps alerts and such. Okay… I’ve done all the things I can think of— iOS is all up to date. It isn’t on silent. The volume is turned up It isn’t in a focus (do not disturb or sleep) I’ve changed her text tone trying several different options. She is set as a contact, to emergency bypass. She is an emergency contact. Notifications—> Messages — Allowed, Critical Alerts allowed, Sounds on. Sounds & haptics —> volume set to 80%; Haptics always I’ve reset my carrier settings I’ve reset my phone settings, I’ve wiped and restored my phone from a backup. — I’ve not tried a total wipe and rebuild from scratch…. Although that is likely next unless someone has any other thing to try first. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

No sound when phone rings or text messages arrive My phone has stopped making any alert sounds for incoming phone calls or for text messages. All my settings appear to be fine. Switching the phone on and off has made no difference. This may have started after I opened a text message on my IPad.

Ok, no one responded. But I found my answer. I unintentionally had enabled Hide Alerts enabled in my contact's information page. Probably a loose finger touched it by accident when setting her up on my phone.

Turned if off, had her send me a txt and bingo- fixed.

I also shut down my phone to "re-boot", waited 10 min., turned back on . No change
