Can you lock the settings app?
I've been looking everywhere for this solution and can't seem to find any good ones apart for 'guided access' which doesn't work for me. Is there an option to restrict or hide the settings app?

A “solution” would be to lock the iPhone if the Settings app is opened. You can achieve this by creating an automation in the Shortcuts app:
This “solution” is is easily bypassed if the user knows that there is an automation running in the background which they could either deactivate or delete.
Thanks! It makes me wonder if one couldn’t create an additional automation to lock the Shortcuts app as well.
No there is not a way to lock the Settings app. Only by using Screen Time can you restrict things like removing your Apple ID or changing the Passcode from settings. If it is a case of not wanting a person to accidentally use the Settings app, then it can be removed from the Home Screen and will only be available in the Apple Library on the last page. Other options may be available depending on what specifically you are trying to prevent.

Create a new automation.
2. Choose “App” as a “trigger’
3. Choose the Settings app.
4. Disallow “Run after confirmation”.
5. Tap “Next”.
6. Tap “New blank automation”
7. Choose the “Lock Screen” action.

Very creative solution. I give you a +1. Even though the shortcut can be turned off, for some cases it could be useful.
