No signal even after Airplane Mode On/Off

Hi,

So I've been having recurrent issues with my iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 17.3.1

I've noticed that when I change location, it struggles finding the new antenna, and shows "No signal", what I usually do is to turn on AirPlay mode and then off, which in fact, not always works, there have been cases in which I've needed to restart it. And even in general, the signal reception in this phone is really bad, even in one of the major cities in Europe where there's 5G available and all.

The workarounds I've tried:

  • Resetting the network configurations.
  • Asking my provider to reset my phone line, and then restarting the phone after that.
  • Changing from a physical SIM to eSIM and then back to SIM.
  • Comparing with friends who are using the same company.
  • Full phone reset, backing up from iCloud.

I've read somewhere iPhones might have antennas with issues, like, not picking up some frequencies or something related,

Do you have any suggestions or new workarounds I might try?

Was this phone purchased in a European country? And is it being used in Europe? I’m asking because phones support cellular bands local to the area where the phone was purchased. While a phone purchased anywhere has some common bands, so it should work everywhere, there are also region-specific bands that are different around the world and if your phone doesn’t support those region-specific bands then coverage may be spotty.

Here are the LTE bands in use around the world→https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks_in_Europe

And here are the 5G bands→https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_5G_NR_networks

Beyond that, your phone may have a hardware problem.

Hi Lawrence,

Yes, it was purchased in a European country, and in an official Apple Store, I'm also living in the EU (Spain).

It's got QL as Country Code

The weird thing is that it's been like this, say, the last 12 months. Before that, there were no reception related issues at all.

Perhaps it's worth mentioning that my SIM is from one of the biggest companies in the country (Movistar).
