If you're experiencing issues with iPhone screen sharing not working with your MacBook Pro, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:

  1. Ensure Both Devices are Compatible and Updated: Make sure that both your iPhone and MacBook Pro are compatible with each other and that they are running the latest software updates. Screen sharing features may require specific versions of iOS and macOS to work properly.
  2. Check Network Connection: Ensure that both your iPhone and MacBook Pro are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Screen sharing typically relies on a stable network connection, so a weak or unstable connection could cause issues.
  3. Enable AirPlay on iPhone: On your iPhone, swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center. Tap on "Screen Mirroring" or "AirPlay Mirroring" and select your MacBook Pro from the list of available devices.
  4. Check Firewall and Security Settings: Sometimes, firewall or security settings on your MacBook Pro could block screen sharing functionality. Make sure that screen sharing is allowed in your firewall settings and that any security software isn't blocking the connection.
  5. Restart Devices: Try restarting both your iPhone and MacBook Pro. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or issues with the devices' software.
  6. Reset Network Settings: On your iPhone, you can try resetting network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network afterward.
  7. Reconnect Devices: If you've previously connected your iPhone to your MacBook Pro for screen sharing, try removing the device from the list of AirPlay devices on your MacBook Pro and reconnecting it.
  8. Use a Different Screen Sharing App: If you're still experiencing issues, consider using a different screen sharing app or method. There are third-party apps available that provide screen sharing functionality between iOS devices and Mac computers.
