Can iPod Touch receive Mails?

It may not be possible, due to the age of the iPod.


On the 2nd generation iPod Touch (which I have in front of me now) you need to find the Mail icon. The icon shows an envelope on a "sky" background (sky with some cloud). Tap that icon and a Welcome to Mail page opens up, with several email providers listed.


If your email provider is shown, select it. Otherwise, select the Other option. The screens should guide you through the rest of the setup procedure. If it doesn't work, please let us know what happens instead and in particular, the wording of any error messages that you see.


It's possible that the security protocols on the old iPods is no longer useable for email. I've just tried setting up two different email accounts on my 2nd gen iPod Touch, but without success.
