That could be a hardware problem. Or, it could be a problem with your finger. I finally just stopped using that finger. Some people just have fingerprints that don't work well. Or skin conditions that cause issues. I have eczema on my right index finger (but on the other fingers). I had to keep redoing the fingerprint.
