Update expiration date and CVV on Apple Pay

I heard that this happens automatically, but I just found out that it may have not updated once iCloud+ failed to bill today. I cannot remove the card because it is used for AppleCare and iCloud+ subscriptions since it the only card in there, and it won't let me manually update it. When I clicked the notification on my iPhone that said that the payment failed and the card was expired, it said it was expired. However, when I open the card info in the Wallet app or Settings, it doesn't say it is expired. Will I have to call Apple Support to get it updated?

Please follow this path;

iPhone > Settings > Apple ID (Your Name at top of screen) > Payment & Shipping > tap Edit (upper right corner of screen) > tap edit (upper right corner of screen) > tap expires (enter as MM/YYYY) > enter 3 digit 3 digit CVV security code > update phone number etc > tap Save

The expiration date needs to be updated to a 4 digit number for the year and in the following format, MM/YYYY.

Just click on the expiration date text field and enter the correct date. You may also need to re-enter the 3 digit CVV security number and also the phone number.
