unwanted drop down menu

OS 14.1.2 Mac Mini Logitech Lift mouse. Periodically, an unsolicited drop-down menu appears every time I click my left (usual) mouse button. This continues until I have to restart my computer to get rid of it. Started several months after the purchase of my new Mac Mini and several weeks after the purchase of my new Lift mouse. I have no idea what's causing this. Very annoying.. It its periodic, not constant. It just starts doing it whenever it feels like it.
