CPU Usage High for iCloud Photos

According to task manager, iCloud Photos uses more power than anything on my PC. Often over 30% of available CPU. Power consumption is "very high" MyCPU fan runs constantly for days if I let it.

I want to know why NO ONE FROM APPLE has anything to say about this!

They should be ashamed for polluting, wasting energy, and creating ecological stress!

Windows, Windows 10

iCloud Photo does some optimization and machine learning on device. If you have just added a number of photos, in high resolution, then that might be causing the CPU utilization. Also, if the photos were just added, it might also be syncing it to iCloud (uploading), which also uses a lot of CPU.

If you did not add new photos, then I suggest that you wait for awhile. If it still does not resolve the high CPU utilization, try to shutdown your computer, and then turn it back on again.

Good luck!
