Unable to print PDF files from Adobe Reader on M-1 iMac

After a recent software update, I can no longer print PDF files from Adobe Acrobat Reader. Printing from web pages or emails works as usual.

I use it to do basic stuff, internet, email, printing. I do have a problem printing from Adobe at times. Many documents no issues at all, but some will have a black box around the image or sometimes the entire page prints black. I read that I may need to update Adobe reader but when I try it says I need masOS 12. or higher. I am unable to update the OS. Is there anything I can do about adobe reader or another way to print PDFs? Thank you!

Printing blank pages only from PDFs created in InDesign Only way to print PDFs created in InDesign is to attach in an email, open on my iPhone, download and print to HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw. MacBook Pro 15in 2018 IOS 10.14.6 MacMojave InDesign 2015.1 Release Upgrade to new Mac IOS is not an option. I loose my Adobe Creative Software package. I can print a PDF created in Photoshop, Word or Excel, just not InDesign directly from the MacBook Pro.

pdfs will only print as gobbledygook from MacBook Air I bought my MacBook Air (M1) in 2020 and have always had problems printing pdfs. I have regularly updated the OS (now using Venture 13.3.1) but the problem never goes away! What happens is I get unlimited printed pages of gobbledygook and have to pull out the paper tray to stop it and then reset the print queue to cancel the job. My printer is a Samsung C48x series, driver version 3.0. If I restart everything – printer and Mac – I can sometimes get it to print one page, but never more. The printer works fine for printing other file types from my MacBook Air, and I can print pdfs from my iPhone and iPad, so it should be a very specific problem! I have recently deleted Adobe Acrobat from my computer and taken to using only Preview for pdfs, but I still have the same problem. Any thoughts?

Update your Adobe Acrobat Reader application (see Help menu : Check for Updates), and use only the print tool from Reader's toolbar.
