I am trying to stop sharing my location. When I am in the messages app I click on the contact. When I click stop sharing my location it jumps back to the text thread and doesn’t stop sharing. How do I fix this.
You may have Screen Time Restrictions set to ON.
Open Settings ▶️ Screen Time ➡️ Content & Privacy Restrictions ➡️ Share my Location : Set this to ALLOW.

Sometimes, your iPhone may continue to share your location due to a bug or incorrect data. To fix this, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, then select the app(s) that you are having trouble with. Tap on "Clear History and Website Data" to delete all location data associated with the app.
I just tried this and it didn’t seem to work. Thanks for the thought though.
