Books app Library: book missing and it isnt hidden either?

I downloaded the book “The Lodger” by Lowndes. I believe it was free. It is no longer visible in my Library. However, it is not hidden either (does not show up in the list of books to unhide). So i have no way to read this book right now so i try to get it again by searching, however, when it finds it, it says it is in my Library. BUT IT ISNT THERE!!! What is going on??
