How to stop Safari from skipping paragraphs on iOS 17.3

Let’s make it simple: Does anybody have issues with the Siri AI voices using spoken content? What issue do you have? Does it stop reading in the middle of the text, skips paragraph or gets muffled like a poor quality audio recording?

Which troubleshooting steps did you’ve tried to cure this bug? Or, what did Apple Support tell you?

I tried it On My iPad Pro 11in 2nd gen and it’s fine, but the Siri voice for Spoken content sounds a bit different.

What’s wrong with my brand new iPhone 13? Why does it have this issue?

In the end, nobody from support helped me out and I’ve spent 2 weeks dealing with this annoyance, but all to no avail

Back in 2020 in the pandemic, I bought my iPad Pro 11in 2nd gen at a discount price in Apple for the college students, it’s 2024 and wheter I’m in Mexico or in Spain, these features work pretty fine. Sorry for my confusion, but I don’t understand, as long as a feature is available, why it would work better in a country than an other.

I bought my other iPhone 11 in Mexico and I changed it due to SIM country restrictions, I’m in Spain and, unfortunately, I can reproduce the issue in that iPhone as well, not just in the 13.

Actually, I’ve had issues with that particular Siri text to speech engine in that particular iPhone since iOs 15, the voice sounds hoarse when battery low consumption mode is turned on.

I would like to encourage more users to report all these accessibility bugs, since Apple doesn’t seem to care about fixing them anymore, which it’s a pity for all of us who rely a lot on these features.

It looks like iOs 17.4 has fixed the issue for me, but still I’ll need to restore it or go back to iOs 17.3.1 to see if it’s an update issue, an issue with Neural voices or if it’s a reproducible behavior in that previous version.

Any thoughts?

Do you use Spoken content or Siri to read the pages? Try to reset all settings or re-download the voice file. I invite you to submit a feedback report to the iPhone team. Also, if you’re using Spoken content, which browser are you using? I’m afraid some browsers cause issues with these features, if you’re using a different one, try Safari instead, it works flawlessly for me

What happens if I install the update through a computer using Finder? Does the problem goes away completely? I spoke with support due to this issue and in my last interaction they told me to update my iPhone that way

I really want to know if restoring my iPhone via Finder prevents it from happening or completely fixes it, as no one from Apple has contacted me again, not even the accessibility team. Can someone from Apple please explain to me what’s really happening and if there is an effective fix? I don’t like to deal with these unstabilities anymore

I’ve sent them feedback too many times, but unfortunately no dice, it’s still not fixed. In my iPad Pro works fine though, but in my iPhone 13 still stops and skips. It’s the same with spoken content, this annoyance prevents me from using it
