Phone locked - iOS 17.3.1 - very dissapointed

I don't understand the term, it was purchased via vodafone here in Australia, so why would it ask to update software only to lock me out. I'll take it next week to vodafone then iPhone to resolve. It's very usual as other updates have progressed without problem. Thank you though for your comment.

I'm pondering an interesting phenomenon. When IT fails and problems such as the above arise, what is the personal cost. For me, I got angry, I had other hassles in my life, slapped the phone down, hurt my hand, made my partner feel unsafe due to my rage, and although it wasn't them, my night turned from one of fun and conversation to annoyance that my phone didn't work. My phone is my life, social, banking et al it was frustrating. Therefore, what cost is this co-dependence on technology on our social interactions. I'm perplexed, why would apple release an update that would cause such conflict and rage, mmm conspiracy theory, this is the aim or test :) I wont be broken, but I will buy an android phone tomorrow, this is really stupid lol !
