Older iMac wireless keyboard with new Mac Mini?

I just purchased a new Mac mini and I am wondering if my wireless apple keyboard (came with my iMac) that is 12 years old will connect and work ok with my new mac mini or will I need a new apple keyboard?

It will work, but you need a USB keyboard to setup the new Mac mini and then pair your older wireless keyboard.

(fortunately most any inexpensive USB Logitech or PC keyboard will work with the Mac mini)

Personally I keep around a Logitech MK120 Combo for setup and troubleshooting wireless issues.
