No airplay receiver option in the setting

Hi Apple community,

My iMac's airplay receiver option disappears and I have no idea why, so I wish to know how to find and open it.

My device is iMac2017, system is 13.6.4 (22G513). I close the firewall and use wifi for connection.

Best,

iMac (2017 – 2020)

Set up your Mac to be an AirPlay Receiver - Apple Support

Your 2017 iMac is not one of the Macs that "works best" with AirPlay to Mac. If you're talking about an iMac, AirPlay to Mac "works best" with an iMac introduced in 2019 or later, running macOS Monterey or later.

That might mean that your iMac is too old to act as an AirPlay Receiver.
