Can Time Machine in macOS Ventura restore from a backup disk formatted as Mac OS Extended journaled

I am want to upgrade my iMac 2017 ( Mojave)

I made a Back-up with time Machine (Encrypted).

Time machine automatically formatted the SSD in Mac Os Extended journaled.

Will TM be able to restore from this Volume under Ventura?

I have read a lot about AFPS in Apple knowledge base, but no information if it is necessary to format to AFPS

and then do the backup in this case?

help will be appreciated. Thank you so much.

There won't be any problem restoring from that TM backup.

I seem to recall Catalina (or later) quietly reformatted TM backup drives to use APFS in the background, but you don't need to pay any attention to that. It will happen when Time Machine gets around to doing it. Like Macs in general, TM works best when it's ignored.
