Struggling with Envato Elements

I download Envato elements that are supposedly compatible with FCPX and that many users use. But Final Cut Pro is so slow that it takes me an hour just to edit one thing in the video templates. I am using proxy files or have the settings on 'better performance'. How can I use these external plugins that are paid for without my entire programme slowing down completely. Please help!
