Macbook Air M2 screen brightness varies greatly with brightness variations coming from the windows in the room.

I started using the Macbook Air M2 a few weeks ago. I previously used the Air M1 for 3 years and didn't have this problem.

When I'm working on an overcast day where the clouds are either blocking the sunlight or not. The sunlight coming into my workroom varies a lot in a few minutes.

It happens that when the clouds start to obscure the sunlight a little, the Mac starts to reduce the brightness of the screen.

The problem is that it dims a lot until the brightness is practically zero.

It seems to me that the dynamic range of maximum and minimum brightness is out of control. There should be an adjustment so that we can set the minimum brightness we want.

On the iPhone it's easy to adjust this, when the automatic system goes too far up or too far down, just put your finger on the setting and drag it up or down a little. And it seems that the system learns because it remembers your minimum setting for that situation.

But on Mac it doesn't learn and every time it happens I have to pull the brightness back up manually.

My Mac is oriented 90 degrees from the window so the front camera isn't directly facing the window.
