My mouse pointer is always black

I am having a strange problem. My mouse pointer is all black in all forms. The hand icon, the spinning wheel, the standard pointer. I have a MacBook pro M3 Max with the most recent operating system at this time 14.3.1. I have tried changing it in system settings under the accessibility, display. if I change it to white the pointer becomes dark dark grey. I am at a loss of what happened.

So I don't know what was causing it. But the problem resolved its self. After rebooting, the problem went away. It wasn't anything i installed. But im guessing it had something to do with night shift mode. Because during the time of the shift i noticed that the color of the pointer would change. Thats all if got for the fix on this.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most* extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

unplug all non-essential third party peripherals when testing

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS
