Hello, I am trying to make a call on my iphone. When I dial a number, the heading shoes “Calling out”, but doesn’t ring. What can I do to correct the problem?

There is a nationwide AT&T outage. Some customers of Verizon, T-Mobile and other carriers using their infrastructure like Boost Mobile, Visible and Google Fi to name a few are affected.
You can try using Wi-Fi calling until the outage is resolved.
