Prevent Icloud Drive from removing local files.

Hoping someone has figured something out here. It seems insane that there is no way to do this.

My company is using ICloud Drive to keep import files up to date across all our devices. However we are struggling to fine a way to prevent ICloud from removing copies of those files from local drives.

Most recently ICloud removed local files that were being used in an NLE for production work. On other occasions we have found ourselves without good internet access only to discover all our important files. (That we thought were saved locally) weren’t available without internet access.

The lack of this feature basically renders ICloud useless for any professional application.

Hoping I am just dumb and missing an opt out check box somewhere.
