Word documents downloaded from Safari open in read only format

Hi, I'm copying a question Sunil0301 posted a few months ago, but received no replies. I have the exact same issue. Using Sonoma 14.2.1, Safari 17.2.1.

I download the word document from gmail.com from Safari. When I open it, it is in the read only format. The same document I download from gmail from Chrome. When I open it, its editable document.

There is one more catch. When I open private tab in safari. Open gmail. download gmail attachment. It is editable. But same I download from normal mode, it is not.
