MIDI track volume levels drop unexpectedly

Potentially relevant details:

• Recently updated to Sonoma and Logic Pro X 10.8.1 on an M1 Mini

• Have been getting a periodic error message: "An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem..." (see screenshot below). Clicking "Recover" seems to correct.

• "Low Latency Monitoring Mode" resets to "off" when file is closed and reopened, and is "off" by default

• Happening with both Logic and third party VSTs

• I have reset and rescanned all plugins since upgrading to v10.8.1

• Can be triggered by interaction with my Komplete Kontrol S49 controller

Volume levels on multiple MIDI tracks seem to be initially OK upon opening the file, but become very quiet if the controller is used to adjust anything in that track. Not entirely certain if it's always a controller-related volume drop, but that can definitely do it. Closing and re-opening the file resets the volume to the correct level.

I'm not exactly a newbie, but I'm also not a Logic or MIDI expert by any means. Rudimentary skills and knowledge. I've done some online searches, but haven't been able to find anything to address this specifically. Could be something simple I'm just unaware of. Any help appreciated!

This time I was able to be my own support - fixed.

Turns out I was recording with Ozone 9 and Mastering turned on. Once I switched those tools off, LLM and controller interaction stopped cutting volume and things returned to normal. Whew!

Hope this helps someone out there!
