Canceling subscription

My subscription on a certain app won’t let me cancel it even tho I don’t have the app currently on my phone. I cannot download that app or any other app without paying back that one certain app owed with money. I don’t know what to do.

iPhone 13, iOS 17

If the subscription is from Apple and is charged for by Apple:

You can manage your subscriptions: learn how to view, change, or cancel them.

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support


If the subscription is with an app / app developer who charges you directly:

You may be able to cancel the subscription on their website ... or from "support" on the website.

How to contact an app developer - Apple Support


If you didn't get the app from the App Store, learn how to contact a third-party developer.

If the subscription is from Apple and is charged for by Apple:
