Scan document to cell in numbers using only iPhone.

I'm building a spreadsheet for my small business bookkeeping. I want to open the numbers app on my phone, create a row for a new transaction add a scan of a receipt or invoice etc. for each transaction.

I noticed if I'm working in numbers on my MacBook and I click the circle with three dots it opens the scanner on my phone and scans the document right into the cell. I don't even need to resize it. Why doesn't the phone app offer this function.

Also if there is a way to embed a pdf from a local file folder can you share how?

Thanks In advance, Gary.

iPhone 15 pro max and latest MacBook Pro 16".

In Numbers for the Mac? What circle with three dots? Screenshot? (shift-command-4, select area with crosshairs, release, start new post here and use the mountains-and-moon 'Image insertion' icon beneath the compose window to attach the image from the Desktop)

Keep in mind that Numbers is not designed to hold a lot of images.
