Apple MacOS bug: USB-A mouse stops working randomly (tried with several USB hubs), have to reconnect the dock to make it work again

This has been reported on earlier OS, and the problem still persists:

External USB Keyboard/mouse randomly stop… - Apple Community

Tried with 2 docks: a Dell monitor with built-in dock, with Startech Thunderbolt dock -- both have the same issue, so it must be an Apple issue.

After Mac goes to sleep, the USB-A mouse often stops working (the monitors and everything else that is connected to the same dock keep working just fine), and then I have to unplug the dock and plug it back it, which is very annoying and is definitely low-class experience.

I would appreciate if someone at Apple could finally figure it out. Does not happen with other OS.

It's been going on for years and really tarnishes the user experience, especially business user experience.

Thank you!

It's an expensive thunderbolt dock that can quick-charge a Macbook. It's not powered by the Mac - it's got a huge power brick of its own. So, power starvation is not an issue.

Additionally, the mouse stops working specifically after Mac waking up from sleep. So, it seems that there is a power state transition bug in MacOS that affects USB devices specifically.
