Some MP3 files are sent from my iPhone14MaxPro iOS 17.3.1 to other Facebook Messenger accounts and some play on each account and others do not play on those same accounts. What is wrong? Are some of those files corrupted? How do I fix them so they all play on all my Facebook Messenger friends accounts?

After experiencing some issues in the same vein, I used Music (formerly iTunes) as the format converter. Using their standard "Create File/Convert/Create MP3 version" (even though the file I was covering was already an MP3 that was output from Cubase), it worked to ensure all with an iPhone and most Android devices as well, can play the file.

Not all MP3s are encoded the same way. Some variations in encoding might not be compatible with Messenger's built-in player. This can happen if the files were converted from other formats using specific software. You can try re-encoding the MP3s using a different encoder or software.

I just encoded the nonworking MP3 and the file works fine now.
