Accidentally deleting tabs in Safari on iPad and iPhone

I have never figured out how I’m accidentally deleting my tabs! It’s an iPad 6th generation, iOS 17.0.3. I can go for weeks with nothing happening. Then, no tabs! What am I doing that I don’t realize I’m doing? There is NEVER a warning! What’s up with that?!! I know about long pressing the + to see recently deleted tabs, which is a big pain to use because you have to add them back one at a time. Why isn’t there a way to put them all back at once since they all were deleted at once??!

Sorry to sound so ANGRY but, that’s what my frustration has come to. Help, please!

iPad, 17

You might have Safari set to auto-close tabs after a period of time. Go to Settings > Safari, scroll down to Close Tabs, and make sure it's set to 'Manually'.
