Pasting Links into Apple Notes

With a portion of text highlighted, Cmd + K opens the Add Link window. But a link from certain apps won't paste in unless I paste it first elsewhere and recopy it (from Safari works fine).

Also, after pasting the link, the return key used to close the Add Link window. Now I have to click it.

In summary: with a portion of text highlighted in a note, Cmd+K, Cmd+V, Return used to paste the link quickly. Now there are additional steps that seem like bugs.
