iPhone Camera Prevent Keystoning

More and more I’m “scanning” documents with iPhone camera/app and the content of the documents is converted to data fields (i.e. checks, forms) It’s important to hold the iPhone parallel to the documents to prevent keystoning which can cause bad data. It would be helpful to have a bubble level on the camera screen so that the camera can be aligned in 2D with documents laying on flat level surfaces.

Seems like a good suggestion. You can send feedback to Apple here:

On the other hand, if you do a bunch of this, you could buy a small bubble level at the hardware store. Don't wait for Apple to make a quick change as you suggested!

Keystoning comes from the camera sensor not being parallel to the plane of the object, Another fix is to edit the picture and correct the aberration with the built in keystone adjustments:

Bubble level seems simpler!
