How to connect old Firewire external HD to download files to new USB-c MBP

I have just found several old external hard drives that I used with my Mac computers late in the last century. I believe they have FireWire 1 or perhaps FireWire 2 interfaces.

I don't know if they still work or have anything on them worth salvaging, but if I could find a cable to connect them to my M1 MacBook Pro so I could examine and perhaps save the files I would be grateful. Does anyone make such a cable or adapter?
