how to remove admin and only a standard user

We recently bought a Macbook for our son and we really don't want him downloading random items on his mac. We are afraid that he might download some game and get us a virus like he did with his old laptop. is there a way for us to remove the admin account and just leave the primary account standard. we are running n a m1 running Sonoma
