How do you access clipboard copy history and keyboard shortcuts

How do you access clipboard copy history on an iPad so i can paste from a list of recent copied items of text? I have this function in windows and had it on my android phone and tablet and it's extremely useful. Yet i cant seem to find this function in an iPad? Surely this simple but highly useful feature is available on apple?

likewise i cant find the keyboard version of cut, copy, paste, undo, redo etc on the screen keyboard. I can't remember all of the numerous gesture controls , but as I've been using command c or control c for copy for the past 30 years, why cant i use this on the iPad screen keyboard. If android could do this 5years or more ago, I'm sure apple are capable unless I've missed how to turn this function on in my iPad settings? The keyboard doesn't even show the command key

The iPad clipboard is merely a temporary location for text (or objects) that you “cut” or “copy”. When you “paste”, the last item copied to the clipboard is pasted to the chosen location.

The iOS/iPadOS clipboard is not of itself an accessible location or App - neither does it maintain any kind of history that can be reviewed or edited.

To copy to the clipboard, highlight the text passage, image or object; from the menu, select Copy.

Having copied the text or other item, you can simply “paste” to someplace else. To paste the current clipboard object, touch-and-hold with your finger to expose an action menu; from the menu, tap Paste.
